Scudder Primary School

Welcome!  Scudder Primary serves 353 students in the community of Wimberley.  We believe that the primary years provide the foundation for all learning.  Our philosophy is that children will be most successful when they are provided a nurturing environment that helps them to grow socially, emotionally, and academically.  We enjoy working hand-in-hand with parents and families to ensure that we are meeting all students’ needs. Andrea Gonzales is enjoying her fifth year as Principal of Scudder Primary.  After spending much of her childhood in Heidelberg, Germany, she returned to Texas and attended Tarleton State University.   She graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on reading instruction.  This was followed by a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Guiding and Counseling.  She then completed an additional 36-hour graduate program at Texas State for Principal Certification.

Andrea's fifteen years in public education have been spent as an administrator, counselor, and elementary teacher.  While in the classroom, she conducted research on reading instruction for SEDL and was recognized by Who's Who Among American Teachers.

When not at Scudder, Andrea enjoys time with family and friends.  She has been married to Mark for fifteen years and they have two children.
