Principal's Message

Welcome!  Scudder Primary serves 335 students in thecommunity of Wimberley.  We believe thatthe primary years provide the foundation for all learning.  Our philosophy is that children will be mostsuccessful when they are provided a nurturing environment that helps them togrow socially, emotionally, and academically. We enjoy working hand-in-hand with parents and families to ensure thatwe are meeting all students’ needs.  Ourbuilding is full of dedicated educators who share a focus on prioritizing whatis best for children.

As principal at Scudder Primary, I am looking forward to a wonderful 2012-2013school year.  This will be my eighth yearat Scudder, and my fourteenth year in elementary education.  I received my Master of Education degree atTexas State University in 1999, then spent the next six years teaching in firstand second grade.  When I arrived atScudder in 2005, I taught second grade for a year and a half.  I then served as math interventionist for threeyears.  After receiving my principal’scertification, I moved into the administrative role of Instructional Strategistfor the next three years.  I feel a truededication to this school, so it is with much personal joy that I now transitioninto the role of principal in the 2012-2013 school year.

WhenI’m not at Scudder, I enjoy spending time with my husband Cullen and our twosons, Cade (a Kindergartner this year!) and Coy.  We love living and raising our children inthis beautiful community.
